Talking Tree Hill Charitable Trust

The Talking Tree Hill Charitable Trust exists to grow creativity, connection, and wellbeing through nature-based education and community talking tree hill initiatives.Core Trust Board (5 Members)

Our trust is governed by five core members (trustees), who hold legal responsibility for ensuring Talking Tree Hill operates in line with New Zealand’s Charitable Trust requirements. Trustees meet quarterly to review, advocate and discuss static goals and initiatives. Extra meetings are initiated by sub groups and as needed per annual calendared project/events.

Trustee Responsibilities

• Kaitiaki (Guardianship): Protect and nurture the vision of Talking Tree Hill.

• Governance & Direction: Guide long-term strategy, growth, and sustainability.

• Financial Stewardship: Approve budgets, monitor funding, and ensure transparency.

• Compliance: Meet reporting requirements with Charities Services & IRD.
